ASL ID “The Video Relay Call”

The video relay call was an interesting experience, to say the least. Obviously, it wasn’t like any other phone call I’ve made. I’ve used skype, I’ve used talk to text, I’ve used a video chat messaging system, but none could compare to this call. In all those other types of experiences, the person I was talking to was the person I intended to be talking to. Then it became slightly uncomfortable as I spoke, and had to wait, not only for the interpreter to sign what I was saying, but then wait for a response, and tell it back to me. So it seemed what would have been a 5 minute...
