Critical thinking is a theory resulting from applying cognition to the separation of the most likely when someone is given a group of possibilities. Ethics is utilized in conjunction with the perception of what is correct or wrong in a well-defined circumstance (" What Is The Connection Between Critical Thinking And ethics?” 2015). There are relationships between ethics and critical thinking because an individual will think of several approaches when advancing to ethical issues. One way to approach ethical issues is to disregard the most probable method until the individual can discern what will be most suitable for the circumstances. Another means of viewing examining the issue of the connection between ethics and critical thinking is by looking at the way a person can discriminate between his personal ethical ideas and those of the organization. For example, the majority of individuals possess a set of ethical foundations personal to themselves that they compartmentalize separately from those of the organization (Pasternak, n.d.). The rules and principles of critical thinking can be germane to ethical deliberating. Ethical reasoning is influenced by religion and culture, which may create misreading or a misunderstanding. One example of this is that in America direct eye contact is considered a sign of respect. Whereas in Japan, avoiding eye contact is considered a sign of respect. Therefore, if an American doctor went to treat people in Japan, he might think the Japanese do not trust him. Likewise, the Japanese might decide the American doctor is not respectful of them. If everybody on the planet earth followed the same guidelines and rules of logic, ethical decision-making would still be needed. The reason is that personal beliefs and morals, non-religious and religious beliefs, all play have a hand in rules and guidelines of logic.
