Introduction
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
There is a huge demand of pesticides in the Philippines. It shows many pesticides available and competing each other to win the market. Filipino wants to have a clean and safe food but has a different perception in choosing the pesticide. This is the reason why the researcher wants to experiment a new kind of pesticide: The Makahiya Pesticide.
Makahiya The sensitive plant Mimosa pudica L. is a shrub or creeping annual, a member of the legume family of plants. It is a curiosity among plants because of its amazing ability to fold its leaves instantly when touched. Originally from South America, it is now found in tropical areas around the world and is called many different names.
Using agricultural products will have a big effect to the country’s economy. It will also help our country’s economy grow because it will help our fellow countrymen such as the farmers or harvesters.
Statement of Problem
Objectives of the study
The objective of the study is to help the Filipino people to know the effectiveness of the Makahiya Extract. The objective of the study is the assertion statement of the problem with the general objectives and specific objectives desired outcome of the research process.
General Objective
The general objective of this Investigatory project is to know the helpfulness of Makahiya Extract that will also help the Filipino to develop their way of life.
Specific Objective
This research will seek the answer to the following question:
What is the profile of the respondents according to:
1. Gender
2. Age
3. Is the makahiya plant really effective as an organic pesticide?
4. Advantage of Makahiya Pesticide compare to other.
Significance of the Study
This study would likely provide a new kind of pesticide ; it provides information to the readers, the help of Makahiya Extract to Plants. The researcher will also get the response about this pesticide.
