Otis Woolfolk 3rdperiod Ending orca shows 11/24/2015

The Seaworld parks should end their Orca(killer whale) show. Firstly most of the Orca go through a lot of stress during their show. In addition they have to take vitamins and other artificial supplements because the orcas need extra nutrients for the show and the killer whales barely get nutrients from there frozen fish. To top it off the orca show is inhumane as it promotes the forceful breeding of the whales in captivity . For these atrocities their shows should end!

To start off they should stop the shows because the stress it puts on the Orca. The stress of posing for hours on a above water beaching platform instead of in the water caused a pregnant female Killer Whale named Gundrun to die from an early childbirth soon after the park closed (takepart.com).This isn't the first time the stress of the shows has played part in the death of orcas at the parks,“there has been 24 orca deaths in total and they seem to still rise!”(care2.com).Seaworld might say that the deaths have nothing in relation to the shows but,the its evident the stress is the real cause of the deaths you can see this in how the animals behave as I quotes from a employee at Seaworld who choose to keep himself anonymous “The animals act in this way because of stress,you can see in their tricks and in the rest of their actions!

In addition they have to take vitamins and other artificial supplements just to keep them going ,because they need extra nutrients to perform in the show and they barely get nutrients from there frozen fish which Seaworld calls “fine dining” (Seaworld.com).Seaworld lies about what they really give the orcas too!An excerpt from a employee guidelines talks about a unnatural jello supplement used to supply the Killer Whales daily need of hydration.
