I believe a waiver is something that you have earned early before your time has arrived to receive it. I want the waiver to be in a position to have more responsibility. The higher rank will open many doors for me in the future such as being able to go to WLC that much sooner which will in return put me one step closer to becoming an NCO a LEADER. Starting from Basic Training I was chosen to become the Platoon guide were I began to learn how to lead which carried on to AIT.

Another door that it will open will be my Green to Gold option, as receiving this waiver will put me one step closer to that goal. Accomplishing that goal will allow me to see a different part of the army and also put me in a better financial position to support my family and their needs.

Some of the things that I feel make me stand out from my peers and to show that I have earned this rank are the things that I have done and currently doing. In this unit and in my last unit I was the BOSS Representative. I have also been the unit armor and been through Drunk Drinking Prevention class and volunteered on my four days to escort soldiers from a bar or night out drinking. I also know my MOS very well on both ends, the physical hands on part such as issuing fuel and the administrative part such as sending up fuel reports. I have also been cross trained as a 91B and I am able to work fluently on services on vehicles. On top of my military education I also have civilian education 72 credit hours. Also I am currently enrolled in 18 hours at CTTC and 9 hours at University of Maryland. These are all things that I feel make me stand to among my peers and have made me earn my waiver.
