1. Summarize all of the problematic behaviors that were being exhibited by Paul according to the information presented in this case. Provide answer in form of one paragraph.

Paul is rarely seen during his shift. He often disappears to his office or even leaves the building. He is not very helpful to his employees either, they will ask him questions and he will ignore them and act like he does not have time to help them even though he is their supervisor. He also yells at his employees and does not let them go on break unless they ask him directly. There have been many production errors during his shift. He was also seen talking to the female ADC coach too much throughout his shift, he would go out for a meal that was hours long with her sometimes during his shift. Overall Paul was not being a supervisor or helpful boss to his employees and that interfered with the company’s production and quality.

2) List five inappropriate behaviors being exhibited by Paul from this case and indicate how he should have behaved instead to be a more responsible, respectable, approachable supervisor.

Yells at staff: He should have calmly talked to the staff about what they were doing wrong and then showed them how to correctly do the job they were supposed to do.

Leaves work with the the ADC coach: He should not be spending time with the ADC coach during work hours unless he is helping the staff member and coach.  He could spend time with her when they are not on company time.

Leaving staff members unattended: It is inappropriate because he is the supervisor and should be looking after his employees at all times to make sure everything goes correctly.  He should be out on the floor monitoring the employee's work and helping when possible.

Gets defensive/rude when asked questions: He could be more polite and not discriminate his employees based on race. Part of...
