Describe the different perspectives of personality
There are 5 different perspectives when it comes to personality. The five personality perspective is psychoanalytic, humanistic, trait, social cognitive and biological. Which I will describe all perspectives.
The Psychoanalytic perspective deals with early childhood and an unconscious mind. It showed that Sigmund Freud believe that things in an unconscious mind comes out through dreams. Humanistic perspective deals with empathy, and stresses the good in human behavior. It’s a positive outlook on things; it helps bring the full potential on individuals. Trait perspective defines your personality. It defines your thinking and behavior, trait focus on the difference between individuals, focus on identifying and measuring human personality characteristics.
The Social Cognitive is the view that people learn by watching others and how people think and respond to one’s social environment. The Biological perspective focus on the idea that behaviors have biological causes. Example of biological perspective will be if a child was abused, the current behavior will be studied due to past trauma.
Explain how changeable or unchangeable you think personality is.
Personality is very changeable; I think your personality change through different stages in life. As a baby, child, teenage and as an adult you will have different personality because of the stages of life. Personality can also have affect on different life experiences a person go through. So if a person had a hard life that will affect their personality. For example, I have a cousin that is a drinker and when he is sober he have the best personality, we can joke, have conversations, and have a heart of gold.
