First, I want to start by letting everyone know that no one will be let go during the transition period. This should be personally explained to each of the sales staff so there is no confusion.

Due to all the changes happening at the present time there is a lot of rumors going around, and it is our job to make sure the right information is reaching our sale staff and that we are correcting the wrong information. Managers have authority. Authority is the organizationally granted right to influence the actions and behavior of the workers they manage. So, as managers we have considerable impact on the ways workers actually behave (wayne f Cascio, 2005, p. 23).” Our job will be to provide a clear picture to the sales staff on what is going to happen over the next few months. “Poor job attitudes therefore lead to lowered productivity and organizational performance (wayne f Cascio, 2005, p. 40).” If you have a negative attitude the sales staff will emulate, and your productivity will suffer because of it. A positive will have an opposite effect and increase productivity.

We will be adding about 60 EnviroTech sales staff and operations specialists; they will be treated no differently from the current InterClean employees. All current and new employees need to remember not to discriminate base on a few criteria. This is especially important to remember during periods of transitions and change. Any discrimination based on sex or age will not be tolerated, and can lead to a number of problems. The new employees may come from different backgrounds, and this should be embraced as a positive addition to our growing diverse workforce.
