Kenya’s conditions seem to be more favorable for the development of disease than for the survival of human beings. However, I believe it is possible to improve the development of these conditions. The improvement of the conditions in Kenya would happen through controlling the development of the diseases. The top diseases that affect Kenya are malaria, trachoma, and AIDS. It is possible to control the development of these diseases by adding additional health facilities, improving education, and additional public awareness. Africa as a whole could contribute additional money to the area of Kenya in order to make this happen. Delivering healthcare in a developing country, such as Kenya, is very important. Kenya suffers from poor transportation and communication networks and low educational levels. By providing additional healthcare facilities and educating the people of Kenya, more citizens would have easier access to doctors and nurses. The citizens of Kenya would be made more aware of how to protect themselves to prevent the need of going to a healthcare facility. For example, if a pregnant mother has AIDS, she could go to a hospital or doctor’s office and receive the necessary medication to help lower the risk of the disease spreading to her unborn child. According to the video, there are already policies in place to start the public education on the spread of diseases.
