Risk Management

No matter how small of the project, there must be certain risk exist. Therefore, we have prepared a risk management to reduce the loss in the risk.

Identify risk

1. Unrealistic schedule

-Software development is intangible and no a standard rule to estimate, and schedule. Therefore, the scheduling must be effectiveness to prevent any cases might slow down the project.

2. Requirement change

-In case client will always change the requirement of the system, it will increase the cost and also the time taken to finish particular task.

3. Gold plating

-Programmer might take longer time to write code for certain function of the system. It will cause them behind the schedule.

4. Substandard Quality

-The opposite of Gold Plating is substandard quality.  In the gold plating example, the programmer got behind schedule and desperately needed to catch up.  To catch up, the programmer decided to quickly code the next feature and not spend the time testing the feature as they should have.  Once the feature went to the testing team, a lot of bugs were found, causing the testing / fix cycle to extend far beyond what was originally expected.

5. Poor Design

-Design is one of the important phases in the project. Some developer might want to start the solid work early and try to simplify the design. At last it may cause many problems such as bug, insufficient time, error, and etc.

6. Conflict between developer and client

-Developer cannot fulfil client requirement or client always change the requirement at last minute also a reason cause conflict between them. It not only will slow down the schedule also will wasting the cost of redesign the system.
