SELF-EVALUATION
Assessment #1
Management Decision Making
I have a high level emotional intelligence. I believe this is accurate representation
because I am self- aware of what is is going on around me. I am clear of what I feel and why. For
example, at my place of work my bosses decided to roll out a new position in our company,
however it didn’t go very well with me or the other employees. I decided to tell my bosses how I
was feeling and what the other employees where feeling. When I did this my bosses really
listened and made changes based off of what I told them. My personal level of emotional

asked why the cleaning didn’t get done in a calm voice. They said they had to get home to help
their mom who was not feeling well. I was alright that they left early for that. I asked why they
didn’t do it before I blew up a problem that didn’t needed to be blown up. My personal level of
emotional intelligence negatively supports how I make decisions as a manager because, I stress
over if I have made someone unhappy in the work place. For example, I had to cut some
employees hours back because we didn’t need them to work those hours anymore and because of
the budget. When I told them that I felt bad because I knew they needed as many hours as they
could get to pay for school. I had to keep...
