Transformational Leaders

Transformational is a way of looking to a business and to search for what is missing in that business, then if the system in the business is not producing the required results, a change must be done in the system that will lead to aimed results. Leadership foundation is based on the relationship and trust. When a business faces difficulty for a period of time, it may bring in a transformational leader to enhancement morale, use of high energy, and passion to inspire and influence employees. True leadership builds relationship first and in the same time creating context for action. Context for action is the vision of the future outcome including what is the purpose of the business, core values, and what is the specific mission of the business over a time frame, and what the business is going to be after that time frame. Getting the total organization alignment with that context of action and committed. Alignment means everybody is running in the same direction, and committed where they will not let any circumstances affect them. The purpose of this paper is to identify the key qualities of transformational leadership and who to develop our skills to be a transformational leader.

Charismatic Leadership vs. Transforming Leadership

The followers’ opinion of influence processes differentiates between transforming and charismatic leadership. A charisma is a certain quality of individual personality supernatural or exceptional powers. The charismatic leader's focus is on their own abilities to formulate, articulate, and motivate followers to join them in fulfilling the organization vision. While transformational leaders inspire followers to overcome their own self-interests for the good of the organization. And they are skillful of having effect on their followers....
