In this part, I intend to design an information systems plan for Equipment Manufacturing Corporation (EMC).

2.1. Organizational Mission, Objectives, and Strategy

EMC's mission is to designs and builds wastewater evaporators for wastewater minimization generated in manufacturing processes and automatic parts washers for industrial and automotive cleaning needs.

EMC’s objective is to realize rapid growth and obtain more profit through excellent customers service, high-quality products, technological innovation and craft improvement.

For EMC’s short-term strategy, it wants to improve its user experience by improving its after-sales service and describe costs by optimizing materials cost and labor cost in order to get higher profit margins. For EMC’s long-term strategy, it wants to take advantages of innovation in product design and process optimization.

Now, EMC has a market share of nearly 15%. In further five years, it wants to promote market share to 20%. EMC wants to promote its market share by making its products more intelligent.
