Introduction

Before selecting AI course, it seems a mystical subject for me because the great inventions such as google self-driving car, intelligent robots, medical system and so on will come into my mind when talking about AI. However, everything difficult is consist of certain simple parts. From the start point to the end of AI class, we touch basic programming languages like lisp, prolog, answer set programming. Then learned some pivotal algorithms and concepts like uninformed search strategies, heuristic search strategies and constraint satisfaction problem, FOL, CNF. During the studying process, I am able to code using the lisp and prolog for some problems in homework. As a result I have a deeper understand AI in a basic level now.

As the first chapter goes, we want AI both thinking and acting humanly and rationally since Turing test, humanization and rationality are the terminal goal for the intelligence agent to perform. We inject philosophy, materialism and empiricism into AI, through observation and logical thinking then have an optimal perform. Undoubtedly, AI is for solving problems and giving people a more convenient life. It is bound to use basic algorithms and various strategies like alpha beta pruning and probability theory. We convert our natural language into machine programming language, after that, the computer run it and come out with the satisfying result. In this video, I think it is funny that I saw many robots failed in challenges. Some of them lose balance on the dirt, some fell over when opening the door.
