Code Adoption Overview

Over the next several months we will be presenting our recommendations for updating the current building codes. Currently we are operating under the 2000 set of International Codes which includes Building, Residential, Fire, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel Gas Code, and the 1999 NEC. We will be recommending, with amendments, the adoption of the 2006 set of International Codes.

The proposed schedule for presenting the code adoptions is as follows:

August 20, 2007 Adoption of the 2006 International Mechanical Code, 2006 International Plumbing Code, 2006 International Electrical Code, Administrative Provisions and the 2006 International Fuel Gas Code.

September 17, 2007 Adoption of the 2006 International Existing Building Code, and the 2006 International Property Maintenance Code.
