Hearing about terrorism is quite common; the word itself hardly fazes anyone as it is widely spoken about in the media, mainly because of the degree to which it has increased as well as it having an impact on majority of all countries, some more than others. Trying to abolish terrorism completely has instead led to, the counter-effect of a rise of wars on terrorism. This research assessment will explain the notion of terrorism and the attempts to tackle it, particularly in Saudi Arabia. The question is how is this being done? Saudi contains oil supplies of 40% as well as high economic and political ranking. Since globalisation has become so increasingly popular, it has left no choice but for the modernisation of Saudi, which is widely known as a conservative and traditional Kingdom. This globalisation and modernisation, as well as the wider socio-economic problems, which have become both internally and externally more prominent, have ultimately, caused Saudi to react to terrorism.

Having experienced 22 separate terrorist occurrences such as being held hostage, attacks, murders, kidnapping and explosions, in the preceding two years, Saudi Arabia now regularly reports directly and affirms any terrorist attacks as and when they happen. This is in an attempt to abolish any acts of terrorism globally and within the Kingdom itself. Not only this, they must report on any solutions stipulated by the government.

Terrorism has not been explored enough to identify the exact causes of it and ways to abolish it. Thus, in an attempt to eradicate terrorism and help offenders improve themselves, the soft approach has been undergoing research in order to identify what its role is within these areas. Saudi Arabia introduced a campaign for Anti-terrorism.
