Train the Trainer: How to use role play to effectively train employees

Introduction (3 min)

Good afternoon. Thank you all for attending this training seminar. The content that is to be learned will become very valuable when it comes to meeting organizational objectives. Businesses that are most successful are ones where work performance is aligned with organizational key objectives. This alignment is best met when employees are developed effectively. The main goal of this training session is to provide trainers with the knowledge needed to effectively train employees using role play as the main training method. Ultimately, training should be conducted in a way that will motivate employees to want to perform optimally. Investing time and money on training programs will come a long way in regards to future success.

Let’s go through the learning objectives of this training session.

Learning objectives (3 min)

1. The goal of this training is to educate participants on the advantages of using role play in a learning environment and how to effectively utilize this method when conducting their own training sessions.

2. At the conclusion of this training session, trainers will be able to identify the factors that may cause resistance with participating in a role play and the steps that could be used to counteract this resistance and encourage active participation from the trainees.

3. At the conclusion of this training session, trainers will have the necessary tools and viable knowledge to conduct a training program using role play method. Trainers will also use various methods and materials learned through this session to effectively prepare for their own training sessions.
