Memorandum: Leadership plan for Team C

Entering a new market can be problematical and patience is definitely an asset. Assembling an operative team to promote Product Z (PrZ) is obligatory for success. This team may have different personalities but needs to be capable of the following seven traits that are universally associated with leadership.

• Ambition and drive with a need to perform using a high level of energy. Initiative and persistence propels these leaders.

• A dedication to influence, lead, and a willingness to take responsibility.

• The ability to build trusting relationships with team members. This is done by being truthful and following thru on obligations.

• Self-confidence is necessary in order to convince groups of the relevance of their goals and decisions.

• Perceptive and intelligent to collect and analyze vast amounts of information. With this; the leader should have the capability to utilize the information to solve problems, create visions, and process decisions.

• Well informed with an in depth job knowledge related to the industry, and technical matters. Well-informed leaders are capable of understanding the implications of decisions based on their proficiency how and experience.

• Energy and assertiveness is essential as leaders have to be sociable. (Robbins, 2010)

The team that has been assembled for the PrZ product development is myself, Cynthia Fields, Madelyn King, and Sefal Ramadane. To obtain a baseline of potential attitudes and motivations for this team; the Jungian 16 type Personality Self-assessment test was completed. (See Appendix A for more information on the Jungian 16 type Personality Self-assessment test)
