How low can you go for what you want? In Act, scene 7 31-77 of Macbeth by William Shakespeare Lady Macbeth demonstrates how one can use everything in there power and manipulate someone into doing their dirty work for them. Lady Macbeth shows her true colours which describes three major dramatic purposes like Characteristics, Plot, and a major theme.

Lady Macbeth isn't the lady you would expect someone from the Elizabethan time. back then Lady's were they are the angles of the house. they keep there husbands from doing all doing bad things, and if something has to be done they let the husbands do it because women were considered very “clean” in that period of time. Crimes and murders were only committed by the men and the women were supposed to be the one stopping them from it, But in Macbeth Lady Macbeth is the one pursuing Macbeth to kill Duncan while Macbeth is the one saying no and that he has to protect his king and show his loyalty. Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth by picking on his “manly-hood”.. she tells Macbeth “”when you durst do it, then you were a man”, telling him he will be a man if he kills Duncan. Lady Macbeth is a very manipulating character. Lady Macbeth totally manipulates him when she says “ Have pluck’d the my nipple from his boneless gums, and dash’d the bris out, had i so sworn as you have dont to this”.

A very good plot is set from this part because Lady Macbeth is successful in convincing Macbeth to kill Duncan, Lady Macbeth explains the plan “ When in swinish sleep, their drenched natures lies as in a death, What cannot you perform upon, Th’unguarded Duncan? What not put upon, his spongy officers, Who shall bear the guilt of our great quell?” Lady Macbeth describes the plan that she will drunken the guards of Duncan and give Macbeth time to kill Duncan. She says they can blame it on the guards and since they are superior in nobility, they will be believed by the people, thus ending in Macbeth becoming king and Lady Macbeth finally...
