(b) What do people do on Facebook?

F.B allows people to connect with other users, share information (Photos, Video's) via post, "like" posts, form groups, create events, comment on others posts etc.  

(c) What made Facebook become so popular, so fast?

F.B platform was initially created for for students of Harvard University as an alternative to a printed student directory, later it rolled out to more than 800 colleges across the USA. In 2006 it was opened up to include workplaces allowing everyone to signup and added features like messaging, groups, events, discussion boards, video sharing and mobile access. 

(d) What is the business model of Facebook? Comment on its robustness.

F.B used its user base to create advertisement revenue - (Facebook Ads) - advertisers could customize their ads on a variety of parameters like geography, language age etc. Ads is FB's highest revenue generator. FB has ads on its mobile platform as well. FB allowed advertisers to target their client group. The also earn revenue from Social gaming and mobile apps. 

FB revenue model is attractive to advertisers and businesses due to its growing user base globally - as it grows the number of users its appeal for a platform for reaching out to potential and existing clients will group for businesses globally.

(e) What are unmet human social needs? What is the need of 'society' that Facebook meets?

 There are many basic human needs that don't get met in modern human society like; the need to express one’s gifts and do meaningful work, the need to love and be loved, the need to be truly seen and heard, and to see and hear other people, the need for connection to nature, the need to play, explore, and have adventures, the need for emotional intimacy, the need to serve something larger than oneself, and the need sometimes to do absolutely...
