Yes, she was right when she said that he was dehydrated. He was saying that he was dizzy, very thirsty, and he passed out in the heat. She also could tell he was dehydrated by pinching the skin on his hand to check the elasticity.

When you are dehydrated, your body tells you by making you feel thirsty so that you will drink fluids. Dehydration can also cause low blood sugar, which is the body’s main fuel source, and when your blood sugar is low can make you feel dizzy because the body and brain needs glucose to work properly. It can also decrease your blood pressure because the amount of fluid in your blood is reduced which makes you more susceptible to fainting.

No she wasn’t correct. If he has fainted before, and is still having the same symptoms of severe dehydration, then he needs to be checked out.

When he woke up that morning he was dizzy and had no appetite. During practice he was very flushed and sweating like a pig.
