In this video, Annie Leonard said its a system in crisis is its a linear system and we live on a finite planet and you cannot run a linear system on a finite planet indefinitely. she examined five stages namely: extraction, production, distribution, consumption, disposal. 1. Extraction is the first stage of extraction or removing of natural or god gifted things. In today world, we are too depended on natural resources. In the last 10 years, 1/3 of the world resources has been consumed. however, this must be done in a way that limits disruption to the environment and is sustainable. Also, when extracting goods, we need to ensure the people’s rights in the surrounding area are not being harmed.2. Production after the extraction, there is the production stage.
