INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study

Today, we are now living in a world ruled and controlled by various kinds of electronics, brought to us through technology, which contributed much to the comfort of every individual in our generation. Globalization affects various aspects of our lives. As the time goes by, the development of technology is approaching rapidly. We have been the witness, on how fast technology evolved through the time, which happened just in front of our eyes. Genius developers create a large number of software in span of time, and continue to build software to make the lives of every individual easier, faster and accessible.

One of the most known systems, which are widely used, is the ID Card Scanner. ID Scanner is an identification scanner. The scanner has a computer which stored Hand Prints of United States Air Force personnel stationed at the SGC and in its registry. It uses a laser to read of your hand to see if it’s the right person. If it’s the right person to hand imprint scanner reads green and the person pass. If the person’s hand print is not in the registry scanner illuminates red and the person must not pass.

I.D scanner gives huge advantages especially in schools like universities, colleges and even High School. To achieve ‘’Rise to the Top’’ which is the goal of Our Lady of Fatima University, is to have an I.D scanner system. It is more applicable than using the common I.D Card because through this new school I.D Card System. It can be easily identify if the student is present or not, accessible also as library card.
