FROM: ZELDA GADRY
SUBJECT: NEW STORE HOURS
DATE: 2/23/2011
WE HAVE SEEN A MODEST RECOVERY IN OUR INDUSTRY; HOWEVER THE SPEED OF RECOVERY IS NOT AS ROBUST AS WE ANTICIPATED. THE COST CONTAINMENT EFFORTS OF ALL GIBSON EMPLOYEES HAVE REDUCED OUR OVERHEAD EXPENSES BY 30%. DESPITE THESE REMARKABLE RESULTS WE CONTINUE TO HAVE DIFFICULTY IN SUSTAINING ENOUGH SHORT-TERM REVENUE TO COVER OUR EXPENSES. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ARE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO OUR STORE HOURS AND EMPLOYEES’ HOURLY STRUCTURE ARE:
New Store Hours:
- Monday through Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: Closed
Employee Hours:
- Full-time Employees (including Managers): Four (4) 10-hour days per week
- Part-time Employees: One (1), two (2), or three (3) day work weeks
Note: In order to avoid any confusion, your department manager will meet with you to review your new work schedule.
In the past, Gibson and their employees have faced challenges with success. We will persevere through this downturn, but it will take our collective effort. We ask everyone to give his or her full support.
