You Smell

Recently I conducted an experiment to see the reaction of my husband and my mother-in-law when I wore too much perfume. On Fridays, my husband and I always go on a date. This past Friday we were just going bowling so I decided this would be a good time to conduct this experiment since he would really be the only one that I would be in close contact with. I always get out of class on Fridays before he gets home from work so I am ready to leave when he gets there. So, this Friday I got ready like usual, but right before he got there I drowned myself in perfume. First thing when he came in he gave me a hug but he didn’t mention anything about it. Instead, he started coughing and acting like his nose was stopped up, which led me to believe that he definitely noticed and was trying to give me hints. When we were finally on the way there, and he was forced to be in an enclosed car with me, he simply asked me, “is that a new perfume or something that you’re wearing”? I told him that yes it was, and I liked it so much that I had already ordered more. After hearing that I don’t think he could stand it any longer because he told me that it was “a little strong” and it was “messing with his allergies”. After this I finally broke down and told him that I just put on a huge amount to see his reaction. He then made me wear an old t-shirt that he had in his truck until we got home for the night. I guess this was his payback for messing with him.

After church on Sundays my husband and I always go to visit his parents because they only live about a mile from the church. Well, this Sunday I figured I would conduct my second experiment on my mother-in-law (which probably wasn’t smart considering I’m new to the family”. So, before church I grabbed a bottle of my strongest perfume to douse myself in after church was over (with the knowledge of my husband this time). When we arrived at his parents’ house, his dad hadn’t made it home from church...
