Being Positive

There are two ways to look at situations that occur within our lives; positively or negatively. Positive approach is about looking at the bright side; it’s seeing the good in each situation and in people too. It’s the best approach as it makes many people feel pleasant, joyful but also it influences our health in a good way. Whereas negative approach is looking at the faults in each action that we take within the situations. It can sometimes lead to the individual being out of control, pessimistic and sometimes trapped with failures as a result.

I used to think things negatively, picking at the faults but recently, I have been trying to look at things in a positive approach. However, I feel like there isn’t enough positivity nowadays. Before, when I started my exams, some of my friends seem to have a fatalistic and negative approach about the results. “Oh I’m probably going to fail.” “I don’t care; I know I’m going to fail.” They seem to also force this negativity upon others.

How about we apply the positive approach to this; instead of thinking constantly of failure, how about we all think about getting good grades, making it to next year? How about we thrive and work hard at the thought of this positive outlook? We will more likely to pass with this thought process and also gain valuable experiences as a result rather than beating ourselves with the faults.

People tend to look at the cons more than pros, costs more than benefits, disadvantages more than advantages. Overall, negatives more than positives. We can change that. Instead of I can’t, try I can. A simple change in the words we say and think can help subtract the negativity from our thoughts. Start influencing others by spreading positivity and just encourage them when they are facing challenges too. Use more positive words and smile.
