INTERPRETATION PROJECT 1

Step 1: What is the central message of each episode? |

Matt 24:36–44 | Matt 24:45–51 | Matt 25:1–13 |

Jesus warns us that we don’t know when He is returning, so we all need to be ready. Just as in the days of Noah, with all the sin that was being committed, so it is today. This message tells us that it is at this time of sinfuld deeds and actions, Jesus will return for His chosen and those that follow Him. | We must all be faithful stewards of that which Jesus has given us to watch over until He returns. If we fail to do this, when He returns unexpectedly, we will be taken by surprise and left behind with those that failed to do as they were told by Him. | We must be vigilant and be ready and prepared when Jesus returns for us. We do not want to be caught unaware and not be ready when the call comes. It will be too late to prepare once the call comes, because He will say He does not know us. |

People will sin and will scoff at those who believe, and will be left behind when He returns. In the second episode, we see that Jesus is the Master who has given stewardship to one of His. The steward is faithful for a time, then grows weary of being thus, and begins to mistreat those that he has been placed in charge of. He was taken by surprise when the Master returned unexpectedly and was left behind with those that also failed to do as they had been instructed. The third episode gives us the parable...
