Human actions can be disgusting, but what’s more disgusting is when it is considered right. In the novel Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, Victor Frankenstein's creature was brought into the Earth without knowing much, but began to learn through observations and thinking. Then he was exposed to the humans, and he did not receive kind treatment. The creature was constantly scared off as they saw him as a threat due to his unpleasing appearance. That’s when the creature had enough and finally snapped. Due to being constantly harassed and isolated from humans, he murdered William and framed it on Justine. I believe the murders can be justified as the people only hurt him because of his appearance. This could have been prevented with simple communication.

The creature’s feelings of revenge and anger first started when he was labeled as a monster due to his looks. In a time of isolation and hunger, he sees a kid that he believed would be unprejudiced because the kid looks like he “lived a too short a time to have imbibed a horror of deformity”. As he approaches the kid, the kid panics. “ ‘Let me go,’ he cried; ‘monster! ugly wretch! you wish to eat me and tear me to pieces…” (Shelley, 126). The creature was wrong; the kid was able to label what is ugly and foul. The child furthers insult him by calling him a monster and saying he has the motive of eating him. He concluded this because of the creature’s appearance looking abnormal to a human. The creature is not able to express his mind because of constant denial from humans, and tries to get approval from someone who he thought would not be judgemental. This creates a feeling of being isolated and causes depression as he helplessly tries to fit in.

Many could argue that the creature could have adapted to the harsh treatment and find a way to change his appearance. He could have changed his big, superior posture to a posture in where he is seen harmless and less startling to the humans. Maybe he could have wore a...
