    The internet and the World Wide Web are some of the best technological advances made today by far. The internet is described as a global system of interconnected computer networks. The internet plays a major role in people's everyday lives and the World Wide Web allows you to be able to see multimedia instead of just text. Almost anywhere you or someone else goes, there's a computer or even a smartphone with internet capabilities. The internet with a search engine allows one to easily research topics for papers they are doing, play games, and many other things. They even have specialized search engines for scholarly articles if you really want to find good information for a paper you are going to write. Not only can you do research and play games on the internet, but you can even do online banking, watch videos, and even stream live feed to other people's computer so they can watch you do some sort of activity. There are many reasons why the internet has grown so much and these are just a few.

    The basis of internet came to being 1969. This, again, was one of the best technological advances. The internet was made because of scientists that worked for the US Advanced Research Projects Agency connected computers at the University of California and the Stanford Research Institute according to brightknowledge.org. Sooner or later the email developed in 1971. Then in 1973, the University of London College, which was across the Atlantic Ocean, was able to become connected. The University of London became the first cross Atlantic connection on the network. In the 1990s, the World Wide Web came to development. The World Wide Web allowed users to have multimedia available to them.
