In my opinion we are almost different people at different phases of our lives. During different phases of our lives we thinking back of our past self. I, for example, from time to time remembering back to the time I was in high school and middle school, and how different I was from who I am today. We try to fit in by change our personality and action to fit society standard. According to Robinson & Smith (2010), “…the persona as a social mask that an individual uses to maintain an acceptable public image and to adapt to the demands of others and the expectations of one’s culture. The persona facilitates integration into peer groups and society while concealing the many drives, contradictions, and conflicts that lie within the psyche” (p. 121). As we grow throughout the phase of our lives we constantly changing our self to fit in society standard. According to International Journal of Psychology (2012) these change we making are due to the environment that are around us (p. 241). For example, in high school we are pressure to change our-self and fit into a certain standard or we may be an outcast. That started to change when we enter college, we got more freedom and we are able to express our-self more. In some case, that mean a completely change in a person personalities.

Moving from city to city or from country to country could also make you change into a different person. From my own personal experience I can said that moving from one place to another, especially from one country to another, can change a person. When I was eleven years old our family move from Viet Nam to United Stated and because I was still young and learning the moving has change me. I still remember when I was going to school in Viet Nam, I was an outgoing little girl that get excited whenever I get a school project or presentation.
