How to create a concept for the Final Paper:

Step 1: Do a word map. List words of 20 or more of your liking regarding your field. (Ex: for IT

students, you can write: algorithm, technology, understanding, codes, binary, programs,

applications)

Step 2: Encircle 4 to 5 words that intrigues you to do a research on.

Step 3: Connect the encircled letters. Use an arrow and direct it to the “single” word that you

signify as your main topic of research.

Step 4: Formulate three (3) sentences which are composed of the words that you encircled. Pick

the best sentence that you like most.

Ex:

1. Understanding technology and programs through the inquiry of binary codes.

2. Technology and programs being understood through binary codes.

3. Binary codes: A way to understand technology and programs.

Step 5: Once the sentence had been chosen, create a question that best regards the inquiry on the

sentence. Choose the best question that you think may best answer the research.

Ex:

1. What are the functions of binary codes to understand technology and programs?

2. How does binary codes affect the understanding of technology and programs?

3. Does binary codes bring light to the understanding of technology and programs?

Step 6: Once the question had been chosen, create a simple sentence out of it.

Ex: Binary codes bring light to the understanding of technology and programs.

Step 7: This is an additional step for those who are already taught how to make a concept. Use

the words: may, should, would, might in order to finalize the main argument of the paper.

Ex: Binary codes may bring light to the understanding of technology and programs.

Step 8: Create three (3) claims in order to defend your main argument. These three (3) arguments

will be your chapter 1, 2 and 3 which will be discussed with further research.

Ex:

1. Technology and programs are made by programmers.

2. Programmers use binary codes to understand and create technology and programs.
