There is a corporate culture at Google which is unlike any other corporation in the world. A lot of people will notice the successes and failures that Google has created, but more often than not, they are successful. Jeff Jarvis leads us through the thought process at Google and how other corporations in other industries could think like Google to improve efficiency.
After reading What Would Google Do?, I found that some of the information was deemed to be correct and insightful on the power of open information. Although Jeff’s intentions are there for different ideas in different industries, I don’t believe everything will work with the same business model as Google.
Throughout the rest of this critical review, I will be gathering more information about the author, reviews, the publisher, purpose, and reliability of the book. By critically reviewing this book, I hope to provide a better insight about the topic, the publisher and the author so that you can get a better understanding of the concepts involved.
Literature Review
Jeff Jarvis is an avid blogger as well as published author. Jeff currently has two books and one e-book available to be purchased. He blogs about media and news at Buzzmachine.com and cohosts the podcast This Week in Google. He is professor and director of the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism. He advises media companies, startups, and foundations and is a public speaker. Until 2005, he was president and creative director of Advance.net, the online arm of Advance Publications.
