1. INTRODUCTION

The activity of translation has been with us and became a tradition that is widely engraved in our history, but in our rapidly changing world its role has become of dominant importance. Nowadays, the role of translation has expanded making it hard for most of us to cope with its demands.

It is unarguably true that there is nothing easy in the world of translation. Words and its innateness are certainly crucial and sometimes confusing especially when translated, for its meaning varies and series of factors must be considered (e.g. language, cultural diversity, and kinds of translation). Each area of translation has its own scope and limitations making it as intricate as it looks like.

By just looking at it we can also state with conviction that language and the complexity that it possesses are definitely broad as well as the process of translation therefore certain rules and principles must be considered for the correctness and effectiveness of it.

We can’t also deny the fact that everything in this world that we are into is governed by certain rules and principles and translation is no exception.

Translation as a medium of communication of meaning from the first language to the target language requires the most basic principles before translating relevant texts, messages and the like. Always keep in mind that translation is not simply substitution and replacement of words in the first language to the target language, instead it is a process of analysis and restructuring of text. The complexity and confusing procedure of translation demands principles that are to be followed.

Principles of translation have offered many insights, placing emphasis on the role of translation in a literary system. Analyzing the content of these principles is also profoundly essential and must always take into consideration for the process of translation demands active principles.
