Jeffrey Cohen Optical Predicts Search Engines for the Physical World

The futuristic Jeffrey Cohen Optical predicts that search engines will be created to search
the physical world; making it more transparent.
Search engines today are solely based on digital media. Things that are not digital and
online are simply not findable. This affects out range of abilities since our thinking is often
based on our ability to find things online. Next generation search tools are expected to be
more sophisticated as experts come up with new technology.
Investment expert, Jeff Cohen, predicted the creation of search engines for the physical
world saying the following during a recent investment forum in New York, "We should
expect that search engines would be able to find virtually anything in both the physical and
digital worlds in the future. We already have flying drones that can be used to replace web
crawlers in mapping out the physical world for the search engines, not to mention the
Google glass search idea that should make it easier to locate objects within the field of
view."
Google, one of the world's leading search engines has already started making headway
towards more sophisticated search. Amit Singal, Senior VP and Fellow, says that Google
expects to make search more personal and interpretive by using artificial intelligence and
natural language to give answers rather than links for search terms.
The Google Glass Search, one of the technologies expected to be the precursors of a more
advanced search, will be designed to present visual overlays that make it easier to
determine the location of an object that is within the field of view. Think of it as being able
to find your lost keys in the house based on the Glass recordings in previous house scans.
