Introduction

I would like to take the time and discuss some problems in today’s business world about ethics and the environment. I would like to take you through some real issues, discuss each and give some solutions those companies have come up with to help out the environment. I will also tell you things that may be disturbing to some readers to learn that companies are actually doing and getting away with legally. I would like for you to really think about these issues as we embark on a journey of truth and ethical decisions that affects the entire world.

Today, the environment is more precious than ever before. We are realizing the uncertainty of damage that we have created over the last several hundred years, especially in the last century. The environment has suffered great loses in so many areas, it’s being polluted with trash, it’s being buried under the earth, water is polluted beyond knowledge, even the aquatic life forms can’t survive, much less human consumption. Land is one of the most valuable unrenewable resources known to mankind, we cannot make more of it, and its growing scarcer with each year as our populations grows. This also means as people grow, the amount of waste grows as well, where do we put it, under the earth? Under the sea? In outer space? These are questions that have been asked millions of times over with no real solution.

We are going to look at how businesses are responding to some of these questions, and how ethical are the decisions that they are making about our environment, because we deserve to know the truth. The first topic I would like to jump right into is probably one of the largest in circulation across the globe, and that’s global warming. How do you feel about this issue?
