Abortion

Abortion is a common topic of debate among the people in the United States of America. Some people may argue that abortion is a form of murder and that a precious unborn fetus was not given the opportunity to progress into an oxygen breathing human being. On the other hand, many may feel that life is not possible until the fetus is outside of the womb. I, along with other American citizens, ask, "When does life begin?" This question is an ongoing issue that surrounds the controversy about the topic of abortion” (Trupin). Even though it takes a man and woman to create life, what gives others the right to say when someone is ready, both mentally and financially to have a child?

There are many obvious reasons why most reluctant parents would argue against women choosing to end the life of an unborn fetus through abortion. For example, many parents oppose abortions because of the thought of a life being taken. There are many religious groups that may also feel as if it is against their religious beliefs. However, the choice of having an abortion should be a decision made among the parents, especially the woman, for various reasons. Choosing an abortion as an option may cause many women to feel pressured by family and peers. Overall, the decision to abort a fetus should be a personal choice between the biological mother and father of the unborn fetus. Mental preparedness and financial stability are two common factors that may strongly influence the decision of a woman to undergo the procedure of an abortion. These two factors of life are a topic of conversation that many men and women are afraid to elaborate on and discuss openly with one another, causing them to turn towards a method as such as abortion.
