3. Based on production data from firearm manufacturers, there are roughly 300 million firearms owned by civilians in the United States as of 2010. Of these, about 100 million are handguns.

4. In 2007, there were 613 fatal firearm accidents in the United States, constituting 0.5% of 123,706 fatal accidents that year.

3. Anti-gun activists will think that the message of this article is to scare people into not supporting guns by showing the number of people who were killed by firearms. But someone who is against gun control would think that the guns are not responsible for the deaths but the people who pulled the trigger are.

4. The points of view represented in this website are politicians who are trying to restrict firearms and politicians who are protecting the second amendment. Family values are displayed in this website by accounting the amount of families for self-defense. Hunters and target shooter’s point view are included in this article. The point of view of the victims of gun violence in not included.
