Conference Computers

An attempt is being made to acquire laptop computers (35) for use during the conference. These computers would then be sold to the first 35 members on a first come first served basis. If you feel you would be interested in purchasing one of these computers after the conference, please e-mail me at jetson1@siu.edu. We would like to have them sold prior to the start of the conference. A listing of specifications and the price would be sent later to those who have an interest. We are attempting to negotiate a price that is much better than one could get individually for a comparable computer. Please be aware that this is contingent upon our ability to negotiate favorable purchase agreement

Session Coordinators and Liaisons Needed for 2004 NBEA Convention in Chicago

Tom Haynes, from Illinois State University, is on the 2004 NBEA Convention planning committee. In this role he needs to identify NBEA members interested in helping during the conference next April. He needs to find nine session coordinators, assistant session coordinators, and session liaisons. The specific dates are April 1 and 2, 2004. Southwest Area Business Education Association held its Spring meeting on April 18 at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine in Belleville. The meeting honored Dr. Robert Schultheis on his retirement after 30+ years of teaching and service to business education.

CABEA

Members of the board of the Chicago Area Business Educators Association (CABEA) met this summer to plan the program for the coming school year. Four meetings are planned.
