Human Development Conception Analysis

“Much learning doesn’t teach understanding,” Heraclitus says.

In my opinion, this conception gives people misunderstanding. Because high level understanding is based on high education. Education teaches people thinking, understanding and living. Here are few reasons show why I against it.

First, when people reach high level education, they understand more than people who graduate in high school. For example, they have more sympathies than others. one research shows that there are 17% donators who are high educator donate blood in 2000, but there are only 11% donators who are only graduate from high school. Why are there more high educators than people who graduate in high school come to donate blood? One reason is that higher educator have more sympathies. They have more understandings for the patients. We definitely can say that education gives people more understandings.

Second, there are more and more diversity cultures in modern companies. More workers who come from different countries are working in international business companies. While at the same time, some native people hold negative attitudes for these diversity staffs. In my organizational class discussion, we think that these negative opinions become weak in high educators group. For example, the PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, she comes form India. But she can be the CEO, this means Pepsi executives could understand the benefits of diversity. High educators hold more understanding than others. They understand diversity way makes business stronger. So education makes people understand more.

In conclusion, learning do teach people to understand better.
