Managerial Creativity

What is Managerial Creativity:Creativity is anything that involves the use of imagination or original ideas to create something

that adds value in some way. In crude terms, we may call it the inventiveness instinct of an

individual. When we talk about creativity in terms of management, this term narrows down to

something that adds value to the triple bottom line of a corporate or any institution which the

individual is a part of. As we are all aware of the fact the bottom line consists of three major

categories i.e. the economic, social and environmental fronts. Thus, managerial creativity is the

use of one’s inventiveness instinct to add value to the economic and/or social and/or

environmental stack of the institution/company he is part of.

Importance of Managerial Creativity:We see creativity all around us today. Businesses have gone global and companies that were less

than a million dollar turnover players have become multiple billion dollar conglomerates in a

matter of few years. There have also been examples from the past where companies have lost

their hold/footing in the market because of their inability to evolve in changing times. Thus,
