The Department of Energy mission statement is to ensure America’s security and prosperity by addressing its energy environment and nuclear challenges through transformative science and technology solutions. This mission statement applies to all sectors of the economy including science, technology, engineering, national security, international affairs or business. The Department of Energy is working with universities, businesses and the National Labs to help develop new, energy-efficient technologies while boosting the efficiency of current technologies on the market.
