Summary of Article:

This article discusses the problem with piracy and counterfeit goods coming out of China and being sold worldwide. China is a huge manufacturer of counterfeit goods and negotiating the sales of these items. The articles opens will a story of a faux Louis Vuitton bag purchased on the internet from China by a Reuters employee to convene her story on this growing and seemingly unstoppable problem of China, the great manufacturer of illicit goods.

The problem is that this merchandise is faux and it can potentially be devastating to people buying these items. China is not just dealing fake Louis Vuitton and Dolce and Cabana, they have upped their game to faux pharmaceuticals that could end of killing people. Harmless, poor individuals searching the Internet for “real” cheaper prescriptions do not know what they are actually purchasing. These medicines may be a placebo and could not be the real thing.

The Internet has made access to faux electronics, handbags, prescriptions, medicines, personal hygiene items and even aircraft engine parts seem very irresistible to the eye and the pocket book. These items are not the real thing and are hurting our United States economy. This is stealing hardworking people’s intellectual property and the rights they hold these items.
