My Analysis on President Uhuru Kenyatta Speech on Gay rights in Kenya.

Abstract

The Information on this papers reviews President Uhuru Kenyatta speech on gay rights in Kenya, during President Obama July 2015 visit to Kenya, apart from his core message on gay rights his non-verbal skill, body language portrayed how effective leadership communication is. The analysis of the speech will include two parts. The first part gives a summary, a brief understanding of the speech is included. The speech is fully analyzed in the second part, its answers question of the speaker's purpose, his tone, his nonverbal traits and the effectiveness of his conclusion. By reviewing the speech and analyzing the ideas communicated, further speech and presentation could be improved.

Part 1: Summary

After years of anticipation, President Obama finally visited his father's native Kenya, on July 2015, made history and captivated the Nation with high hope of future and stronger relationship between the two countries.

The visit was personal but yet political with important issue to be discussed from military Intelligence, to gay rights. Although it was a short visit but the speech on gay right from President Uhuru Kenyatta, a response to President Obama's calls to a free LGBT Kenya society, was considered the highlight of the visit.

The issue of diversity transcends both globally and personally. "Diversity transcends race and gender, affirmative action and Equal Employment Opportunity. It must encompass a fundamental appreciation of one another and a respect for both our similarities and our differences. It must include a heartfelt respect in attitude and in behaviour towards those of different race, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity and those with disabilities.
