ASCI 309 – Jan 2016 – Research Term Paper/Presentation Instructions 

This course requires you to write a term paper with the body of the paper being a minimum of 7 pages, 

maximum of 9 pages, in length excluding the title, abstract and reference pages. The paper should be 

double spaced and be written using the format described in the American Psychological Association 

(APA) Publication Manual 6​ dition.

As noted on page 4 of the course syllabus, your Research Paper includes developing a well written report 

in APA format, with the body (excluding the title page, abstract and reference page) being at least 7 pages 

in length but no more than 9 pages, double spaced and focusing on a topic related to aerodynamics. The 

topic will be at your choosing, off an approved list (see below) from the instructor of topics related to the 

learning outcomes incorporated into aerodynamics. 

You are required to write and format your term paper in accordance with the American Psychological 

Association (APA) Publication Manual 6​ dition. The paper should include a Title Page, Abstract, the

body (minimum of 7 pages) and a Reference Page. All of your sources listed on the reference page must 

be cited in proper format within the body of the paper and if you have a citation in the body of the paper 

the source must be listed on the Reference Page. A minimum of five references must be used, with at least 

two references originating from books. 

Chapter 6 of the APA Manual contains very detailed information regarding how to properly cite sources 

in your term paper. Remember, failing to provide a proper citation for quoted, paraphrased or other 

referenced material is plagiarism. This is a serious academic offense and you can find additional
