This paper is designed to cover all the proper steps to build a personal computer from scratch. By following this manual, you should be able to assemble and implement proper hardware and software components involved in building a PC. In addition we will go over the safety protocols that will ensure the success of building a PC.

Introduction

There is nothing like a satisfaction and peace of mind knowing that you built on your own. Similarly building your own PC is one of the best way to get the maximum out of your investment. It allows you to flexibility of you having what you want in the computer rather than a generic mass produced unit with streamlined components. Every computer will need basic components in order for it to run such as Motherboard, Processor, Ram, Hard Drive, and Power Supply. However this manual is for a specific build designed for CMIT 202 Desktop.

Creating Workspace Environment

Having a suitable workplace for your machine is essential. A good workspace environment can exponentially enhance the office experience. An ideal workspace would be a flat surface with good sized desk with hard floor without any carpet. Also it is important to setup the workspace around are with access to electric outlets, Ethernet cable access points, and good lighting.
