Walt Disney is one of the world’s biggest companies and their strategy over the years has just evolved with time. Anywhere you go someone will know either a movie of character from a Disney movie. In this case we are basically looking over Disney’s current business and how they have invested their money in the years coming up to 2012. Walt Disney has their feet dipped in many different waters whether its social media or cruises Disney seems to do everything right.

Some of case study facts are plenty of facts. Media networks they have acquired over the years include ESPN and ABC being the big ones. They also have ownership in A&E, Lifetime, History, and even a couple more than that. Disney has moved with the technology as well making apps for their which now include the WatchESPN app and the WatchDISNEY app which make it so people can watch their favorite shows on the run. Disney also is a powerhouse when it comes to Amusement parks and Vacation packages. Amusement parks include locations in Hong Kong, Orlando, California, Paris, Japan, and Shanghai which is the newest of all the amusement parks which is set to open in June of 2016. Disney has made many other acquisitions including Marvel and Pixar and Disney made Marvel relevant again especially with the release of the Avengers movie which grossed 1.3 billion before it was even released in Japan. Marvel was completely under utilizing its product and Disney had made it something again you can’t walk through a store without seeing something Avengers branded. They also acquired UTV which makes Disney the owner of major television networks in foreign countries such as China, Russia, Turkey, and many more. Disney wants to make a presence in India and make Disney a family brand there because of the amount of population. The only key problems that Disney has is taking a loss in there interactive department in the last couple years.
