Abstract

Through the varied forms and approaches to research methodologies we shall express the descriptive nature of quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis. We hope to address some meaningful common methods within both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis. At which, methods in observation and measurements aid one’s understandings to a sought perspective or in developing and interpreting data from resource documents made accessible by the global retail giant, Walmart.

Introduction

Methods in research and analysis can be extremely helpful when seeking knowledge about an inquiry, event, topic, individual, or organizational phenomenon. Two widely known methodologies--Quantitative and Qualitative are applicable to many studies types when proper approach is utilized. However, they differ as one method and its approach focuses on subjective observation and the other seeks to express data in numerical statistical measurements. Thus, we’ll use Walmart as the research organization of the topic analysis.

Walmart: A Humble Beginning

Walmart company profile: the home base of operations is located at 702 Southwest 8th Street Bentonville, Arkansas 72716; a Publicly Held Company that was incorporated in 1969; and currently employs over 2.2 billion associates globally. According to (Reference for Business, 2016, January 24) since, 1962 Walmart has maintained their founder’s original company perspectives to fortify revolutionary philosophies of excellence and in their beginning Sam Walton and his brother J.
