The website that I selected was my proposed research is Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (The reason why I selected Wal-Mart is because they are always faced with discrimination suits , with the most recent one with female employees and their claim of gender discrimination. I would really like to find out why Wal-Mart) has so many employee diversity issues in the workplace. Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in the world in terms of revenues and number of employees; A company who has more than 2.2 million employees worldwide. And is the leading retail firm in the world. With this top position in the retail industry, Wal-Mart’s annual revenues have exceeded $485 billion in the fiscal year ending in 2015. This success is based on the effective application of strategies to reach the company’s vision and mission. Wal-Mart’s generic strategy and intensive strategy are both based and aligned with the firm’s vision statement and mission statement. When I type in the term “diversity” in the search item, numerous subheadings appear such as Wal-Mart’s current diversity issues, who are the major markets/products/services and Geographic spread.
