Introduction:

Jesus is said to perfectly represent God the father”. (Etzel and Gutierrez, Praxis Beyond Theory, 2012, p 62). My goal with this essay is to demonstrate that I am able to practice my chosen major, of Business Administration, in a manner that is consistent with a Christian worldview. There will be two examples that will better help to explain this topic. The first of the two examples is respect. The second example I will be giving is honesty. To be a good leader in the business world you need to be both respectful and honest. “

Example 1:

To start I will be discussing how respect in my chosen field relates to how we were created in the image of God. When we were children, one of the first things we learn is to respect others. The Bible talks many times about respecting others and as Christians respect is a big part of our day-to-day lives. In Matthew 7:12, you are reminded about the Golden rule, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets”. Working in the business world will require you to respect your coworkers. You will need to be able to listen and respectfully delegate work to your coworkers as you may move up to management type positions. I would like to one day be a project manager then move up to a COO but in order for that to happen I must remember to be respectful of those around me. Another good example would be 2 Corinthians 10:12-16, “12 Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding. 13 But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even to you. 14 For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you.
