Inspiration Project
Like Van gogh said “For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the
stars makes me dream” ( Van gogh). When I came across with this quote, I felt so identified; for
this is me most of the time just dreaming of things that I would want to happen in the future. Van
Gogh inspired me in so many ways, since he is a unique artist, and while going through his
artwork I came across several paintings that caught my attention. For example, the starry night
that he painted in 1889 caught my attention, because of the quote that I mentioned earlier of how
the sight of the stars makes me dream. Also the way that he draws air in the portrait caught my
attention, and that is something that I tried to apply on to my piece of art but didn’t even come
close to Van Gogh’s; his is a thousand times better than mine. On most of his paintings most of
the colors that he uses are very alive and portray happiness. I noticed that he uses a lot of yellow

Van Gogh's finest works were produced in less than three years in a technique that grew more
and more impassioned in brushstroke, in symbolic and intense color, in surface tension, and in
the movement and vibration of form and line. The artist was completely absorbed in the effort to
explain either his struggle against madness or his comprehension of the spiritual essence of man
and nature. For me...
